Blue Rodeo in Peterborough

One of Peterborough ON’s favourite radio stations – Wolf 101.5FM – has announced that Blue Rodeo is this year’s “Win To Get In” artist. The band will be playing the Trentwinds International Centre on Wednesday, December 13 in a special concert organized by 101.5FM. New Albums by Jim Cuddy, Bob Egan and the Sadies Due Out Soon!

Jim Cuddy will be releasing a new solo album, entitled The Light That Guides You Home, on September 12. BlueRodeo.com will be having a pre-sale in August for this album. Bob Egan’s solo album, The Glorious Decline, will be in stores on August 29. In the coming weeks, we will be posting journal entries by Bob detailing the making of his new album. Bob will also soon be launching a new version of his website.

BBC 2 Re-airing Blue Rodeo Interview

jim_bob_bobIf you missed Blue Rodeo’s interview on BBC 2’s Bob Harris Show when it first aired back in May, you have another chance to catch it. It will air on July 27 at 7pm UK time. But don’t think that you have to be in Britain in order to hear it. BBC 2 broadcasts all of its programming live over the Internet meaning that Blue Rodeo fans from all across the world will be able to hear the band’s interview.

Jim Cuddy to Perform at the Montreal Jazz Festival

On July 4, Jim Cuddy will take part in the Montreal Jazz Festival’s tribute to Paul Simon. Jim will do a duet with Kevin Parent, perform a solo and take part in the big final.

Other performs include Elvis Costello, Jesse Cook and Colin James. And all, like Jim, will be performing Paul Simon songs.

This is a free show and gets under way at 9:30pm at the Scène General Motores.
